New Factsheet by CETIM & WAMIP: UNDROP as a legal and political leverage to protect pastoralist rights

Nomadic and transhumant pastoralists face constant threats to their land, water, and traditional grazing routes.

UNDROP, the UN Declaration on the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas, is the only international instrument that explicitly protects their rights. This new factsheet by CETIM and WAMIP shows how UNDROP can be used as a legal and political tool to defend mobile indigenous peoples’s rights: from land, food sovereignty and livelihoods to biodiversity, participation, women’s rights, climate justice and more.
