WORLD ALLIANCE OF MOBILE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES & PASTORALISTS
WAMIP secretariat Devon Miller will be attending both the COACH project meeting and the Nyéléni ECA meeting at Maison du chant d’oiseau in Brussels, Belgium, from 1st to 3rd June 2023. These events hold immense significance for shaping the future of collaborative agri-food chains and advancing food sovereignty in Europe and Central Asia. The COACH consortium's final dissemination event serves as a platform to share key project results and outcomes with both the consortium and external actors. This includes engaging with the Nyéléni Europe and Central Asia Food Sovereignty Movement, as well as various Brussels-based institutions and networks. The aim is to disseminate valuable insights and findings while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among stakeholders. Moreover, the COACH consortium will take the opportunity to engage with policymakers, presenting their main policy demands and the rationale behind them. This engagement seeks to influence policy decisions and advocate for measures that support collaborative agri-food chains, ensuring a more sustainable and resilient food system.During these events, the COACH consortium will also reflect collectively on the next steps and areas for future collaboration beyond the project. The goal is to harvest ideas and inspiration that can enrich the COACH Roadmap, shaping the future trajectory of collaborative agri-food chains. This roadmap will serve as a strategic guide to navigate challenges and opportunities in the sector, promoting inclusive and sustainable practices. As members of WAMIP, we are excited to contribute to these discussions and advocate for the importance of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and policy changes in advancing food sovereignty. Let's actively participate, support the COACH consortium's efforts, and work together towards a more resilient and equitable agri-food system.
